"My first priority, His presence"
SCRIPTURE
Psalm 22:25-29 Here in this great gathering for worship I have discovered this praise-life. And I'll do what I promised right here in front of the God-worshipers. Down-and-outers sit at God's table and eat their fill. Everyone on the hunt for God is here, praising him. "Live it up, from head to toe. Don't ever quit!" From the four corners of the earth people are coming to their senses, are running back to God. Long-lost families are falling on their faces before him. God has taken charge; from now on he has the last word.
All the power-mongers are before him
—worshiping!
All the poor and powerless, too
—worshiping!
Along with those who never got it together
—worshiping!
OBSERVATION
His presence is life changing, demands attention, brings healing. All are hungry for Him whether they know it or not. I was shaped with a God-hole in me, destined for Him to abide. When I come in contact with His presence, my life, attitude and heart change, walking taller and stronger. God calls ALL to His presence, we are all invited. In His presence there's no hate, disunity or evil. We are all welcome. We are all in need of His presence. His presence makes the impossible possible, brings dead to life; He IS life-giving. In His presence His heart is on display, attainable. His presence is ALWAYS fresh and new no matter how tired I or songs might be (Songs are only a medium to make it easier for us to relate). The goal is His presence; the bulls-eye, His heart. It's by His grace I can enter and receive. I am welcome!
APPLICATION
His presence in my life is my FIRST priority!!! How can I lead others when I've not entered?!
PRAYER
Thank You God, You are life-changing. You are great and I'm so thankful to be invited. I accept Your invitation Lord. Every day may my life be filled with Your presence, may Your presence be my first priority! Lord lead me to Your heart, may I know You and help others to know You! God may I never take for granted Your calling on my life. Lord fill me to overflow! Lord be with my family, may You be glorified through our lives. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
