"Represent God is the best way I can, by being obedient to Him every day"
SCRIPTURE
Exodus 28:31-35 "Make the robe for the Ephod entirely of blue, with an opening for the head at the center and a hem on the edge so that it won't tear. For the edge of the skirts make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet material all around and alternate them with bells of gold —gold bell and pomegranate, gold bell and pomegranate—all around the hem of the robe. Aaron has to wear it when he does his priestly work. The bells will be heard when he enters the Holy Place and comes into the presence of God, and again when he comes out so that he won't die.
OBSERVATION
There was so much detail in everything planned from the temple of meeting place to what everyone wore and how they were to perform their duties.
Jesus became all of that for us when He died, but that doesn't take away from the way I represent God. I need to be careful and watchful of my thoughts, actions and behavior. Others are watching me and more important God is watching my heart. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. What's coming out of my mouth?
APPLICATION
To really internalize the importance of the positions God puts me in. I can be myself, but my better self. Be open to the Holy Spirit's leading and be obedient! Obedience is better than sacrifice.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I never want to take for granted what You did on the cross for me! I pray Lord that my lifestyle will reflect that! Forgive me God for my mistakes and failures and shortcomings. I thank You today for Your grace God and I pray that You would help me be obedient. Give me eyes to see Your truth and live in it! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
