"The great triumph is not in my authority over evil, but in God's authority over me"
SCRIPTURE
Psalm 6:6-9 I'm tired of all this—so tired. My bed has been floating forty days and nights on the flood of my tears. My mattress is soaked, soggy with tears. The sockets of my eyes are black holes; nearly blind, I squint and grope. Get out of here, you Devil's crew: at last God has heard my sobs. My requests have all been granted, my prayers are answered.
Luke 10:18-20 Jesus said, "I know. I saw Satan fall, a bolt of lightning out of the sky. See what I've given you? Safe passage as you walk on snakes and scorpions, and protection from every assault of the Enemy. No one can put a hand on you. All the same, the great triumph is not in your authority over evil, but in God's authority over you and presence with you. Not what you do for God but what God does for you—that's the agenda for rejoicing."
OBSERVATION
In Psalms I'm reminded that God ALWAYS comes through for us! No matter what, no matter how I feel, He WILL answer. Then He doesn't just answer but gives me authority because He has over authority over me; and because of His authority in my life, the enemy has to answer to Him (in me)!!!
This is SO valuable to me because of what He does in me and through me. I'm a costly vessel (because of the price Jesus paid on the cross) that He pours through!
APPLICATION
It's God in me that has the authority to be victorious. I don't have to be afraid, I can trust in Him that's in me!
PRAYER
Thank You Lord for this revelation. Thank You God that I can rejoice in who You are in me. That You can do wondrous things because of Your authority in my life! It's therefor important to me that You would reign in my heart and life! Help me to surrender every day and every moment. You can only be as strong as much as I allow You to be! Help me to allow ALL of me!!! I love You Lord! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
