SCRIPTURE
Ezekiel 15:1-5 God's Message came to me: "Son of man, how would you compare the wood of
a vine with the branches of any tree you'd find in the forest? Is vine
wood ever used to make anything? Is it used to make pegs to hang things
from? "I don't think
so. At best it's good for fuel. Look at it: A flimsy piece of vine,
thrown in the fire and then rescued—the ends burned off and the middle
charred. Now is it good for anything? "Hardly. When it was whole it wasn't good for anything. Half-burned is no improvement. What's it good for?
OBSERVATION
What are those things that holds me back and isn't good at the end of the day for nothing. Letting go of those things can be so hard, but it's a choice. Laziness is a choice, what am I going to do about it?
APPLICATION
Making the right choices, stepping out to do the right thing without thinking about it first. That will be my first response.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for Your Word. Lord You know that I need help in this area. I ask forgiveness for making excuses. I need to step out and do the right thing without even considering the options. Let this be my natural response. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
