Temptation

"Jesus tells me to pray that I may not fall into temptation!"

SCRIPTURE
Luke 22:40 And when He came to the place, He said to them, Pray that you may not [at all] enter into temptation.

OBSERVATION
Looking at the word temptation, I looked up in the dictionary and found the synonyms for "Tempt" & "Seduce".
1. Tempt, seduce may both mean to allure or entice to something unwise or wicked. To tempt is to attract by holding out the probability of gratification or advantage, often in the direction of that which is wrong or unwise: to tempt a man with a bribe. To seduce is literally to lead astray, sometimes from that which absorbs one or demands attention, but oftener, in a moral sense, from rectitude, chastity, etc.: to seduce a person away from loyalty.
2. inveigle, induce, lure, incite, persuade.
In the beginning of man, woman was tempted and ate of the forbidden fruit. The devil's attempt to seduce or tempt us is where he found victory. Jesus is telling me in this scripture to PRAY and pray that I may not at all enter into temptation.
God knows that seduction and temptation is a trap set up for me to fail. It will lead me on a path of missing my calling and all together derail the generation I'm suppose to reach out to.

APPLICATION
What areas in my life do I know that the enemy would like to tempt and derail me? Firstly make and effort in acknowledging my weaknesses and PRAY for God's strength not to walk blindly into seduction. Secondly, to PRAY for all other ways that the enemy would like to trap me. Acknowledge that I am human, but knowing that God's strength can lead me in victory.

PRAYER
Thank You Lord for this BEAUTIFUL Word today. Thank You God that You desire that I would walk in victory. I pray today Lord that I would not fall into temptation. I pray Holy Spirit that You would make my senses to Your Spirit strong; and God help me to make wise choices that leads to Your will Lord! I thank You today for Your love and Your Word. I am so thankful to have You Lord of my life. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
