The Honor (A Love Story Between You and I)

"You caught my attention"

SCRIPTURE
Luke 18:6-8 Then the Master said, "Do you hear what that judge, corrupt as he is, is saying? So what makes you think God won't step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won't he stick up for them? I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?

vs 13-14 Meanwhile the tax man, slumped in the shadows, his face in his hands, not daring to look up, said, 'God, give mercy. Forgive me, a sinner.' Jesus commented, "This tax man, not the other, went home made right with God. If you walk around with your nose in the air, you're going to end up flat on your face, but if you're content to be simply yourself, you will become more than yourself."

vs 24-27 Seeing his reaction, Jesus said, "Do you have any idea how difficult it is for people who have it all to enter God's kingdom? I'd say it's easier to thread a camel through a needle's eye than get a rich person into God's kingdom. Then who has any chance at all?" the others asked. "No chance at all," Jesus said, "if you think you can pull it off by yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it."

vs 42-43 Jesus said, "Go ahead—see again! Your faith has saved and healed you!" The healing was instant: He looked up, seeing—and then followed Jesus, glorifying God. Everyone in the street joined in, shouting praise to God.

OBSERVATION
A boy and a girl from differing social backgrounds meet during the ill-fated maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic. The love story between Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater is such a gripping story, BUT more so is the love story between God and I. It's easily to be looked over or forgotten. All through life and through the Bible God's love is displayed for me to accept and surrender to. I am but mere and individual walking around lost and wandering until He does everything in His will and power to grab my attention, my life. What an awesome God I serve.
In these scriptures He directs my attention to never quite praying and asking for His help; that He would not drag His feet and He would help me.
Do I think I can pull it off by myself? No not at all if I rely in myself, every chance in the world if I trust Him to do it!
Do I want to see, really see? Open my eyes and the first thing I see is You, my eyes opened to see Your face! That's how I want to live, to look into God's eyes and to see and live the truth He stands for!

APPLICATION
To live humbled by His love! Surrender and open my heart to His. Saying yes to God even if I might not understand.

PRAYER
Thank You Lord for giving Your life for me so that I have all I need! Thank You God for Your forgiveness, faithfulness, love, integrity, purity, destiny You've called me to to! God thank You for dwelling in my heart! Come and make Yourself at home. Lord thank You that I can know You, talk to You; and that You're ALWAYS here to listen and answer. Thank You God for Your love! Thank You God for Your life! I need You more and more each day! I surrender my heart and my ways to You! I ask for Your will to be done! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
