Your Work In Me

"When my character is tested, open wide to God"

SCRIPTURE
Eph 3:11-21 All this is proceeding along lines planned all along by God and then executed in Christ Jesus. When we trust in him, we're free to say whatever needs to be said, bold to go wherever we need to go. So don't let my present trouble on your behalf get you down. Be proud! My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you'll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ's love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.
God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

OBSERVATION
Today I felt like I was knocking and knocking my head, trying to work towards a future. That doesn't mean that I'm not thankful for the opportunities I know God and only God has opened, but when I come up empty I feel empty.
In this scripture I realize that the author was experiencing a hard/rough time and that that should not bring me down. I can relate to the hard/rough time; and in that I feel that those words are for me... do not get down. I receive today the prayer that God would strengthen me, my inner being, and in all my frustration to "dig" deeper, allow God's Spirit to re-excavate my inner being and fill it with more of Him. That my fruit would be fruitful to Him, to what He desires me to be!

APPLICATION
During frustration to open my heart even wider to His presence and craftsmanship.

PRAYER
Lord, thank You for today. Thank You for loving me and allowing these moments to direct my eyes towards You. I need Your strength Lord! I am weak and You are stronger. I'm sorry for failing. (I know You don't see it that way, but I have to be honest with my feelings Lord). God that You for teaching me this valuable lesson today Lord. May You help me Holy Spirit, remind me of this truth in days to come! Thank You for Your perfect love Lord. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
