Harvest: (def)the season when ripened crops are gathered

SCRIPTURE
Matt 9:12-13 Jesus, overhearing, shot back, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? Go figure out what this Scripture means: 'I'm after mercy, not religion.' I'm here to invite outsiders, not coddle insiders."

Matt 9:23-26 By now they had arrived at the house of the town official, and pushed their way through the gossips looking for a story and the neighbors bringing in casseroles. Jesus was abrupt: "Clear out! This girl isn't dead. She's sleeping." They told him he didn't know what he was talking about. But when Jesus had gotten rid of the crowd, he went in, took the girl's hand, and pulled her to her feet—alive. The news was soon out, and traveled throughout the region.

35-38 Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. "What a huge harvest!" he said to his disciples. "How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!"

OBSERVATION
The harvest is ready! Am I the harvester/worker ready? In the first part of the scripture God calls me to mercy, not religion. I am to do his work by showing mercy and God, the Holy Spirit, will work in their hearts.
The second part of scripture, God is calling me to not be part of gossip. He doesn't work in or through those atmospheres.
The last part of the scriptures, God reminds me that the harvest is ready. He is compassionate about His harvest, am I?

APPLICATION
Be a light for Him through mercy not religion. I don't do the work of the Holy Spirit, He does!!! And do not be a part or initiate gossip. God's Spirit and miracles do not preside in those enviroments.

PRAYER
Lord, I ask Your forgiveness and grace today. I ask You Lord to help me be a part of the solution not the problem. I ask You Lord to help my life be a light of mercy to those desperately in need. I thank You God that You've called me to be a part of Your salvation work, what a honor!!! And today Holy Spirit, speak to me and help me hear and help me obey! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
