Direction

"Making necessary changes for necessary goals"

READ: Judg. 8; Ps. 42; 1 Cor. 15

SCRIPTURE:
Ps 42:6-8 When my soul is in the dumps, I rehearse everything I know of you, from Jordan depths to Hermon heights, including Mount Mizar. Chaos calls to chaos, to the tune of whitewater rapids. Your breaking surf, your thundering breakers crash and crush me. Then God promises to love me all day, sing songs all through the night! My life is God's prayer.
1 Cor 15:42-44;50 This image of planting a dead seed and raising a live plant is a mere sketch at best, but perhaps it will help in approaching the mystery of the resurrection body—but only if you keep in mind that when we're raised, we're raised for good, alive forever! The corpse that's planted is no beauty, but when it's raised, it's glorious. Put in the ground weak, it comes up powerful. The seed sown is natural; the seed grown is supernatural—same seed, same body, but what a difference from when it goes down in physical mortality to when it is raised up in spiritual immortality!
I need to emphasize, friends, that our natural, earthy lives don't in themselves lead us by their very nature into the kingdom of God. Their very "nature" is to die, so how could they "naturally" end up in the Life kingdom?

OBSERVATION:
Chaos calls to chaos - be careful with whom and what I'm involved in. I don't get influenced well when I allow negativity to shape me. How important it is to BE IN THE WORD. In verse 50, it clearly states that it's not our earthly lives that lead us to the Kingdom of God, but our spiritual. What am I feeding?

APPLICATION:
Revisit my priorities, and if any of those lead me in the wrong direction, make the necessary changes!

PRAYER:

Lord, You know that I cannot change myself and that I need You to intervene and help me with my priorities. I pray God that my life would honor You. I ask forgiveness for all my sin. I pray Lord that where I've caused hurt and negativity that God You would by Your grace step in and bring healing. I pray today for all those I know that God You would reign true in our hearts. I love You Lord and I appreciate You!!!! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
