“To be Centered”

READ: 2 Chr 29-31; James 4

Topic: Prayer and Obedience

SCRIPTURE:
James 4:10-12
Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet. Don’t bad-mouth each other, friends. It’s God’s Word, His Message, His Royal Rule, that takes a beating in that kind of talk. You’re supposed to be honoring the Message, not writing graffiti all over it. God is in charge of deciding human destiny. Who do you think you are to meddle in the destiny of others?

OBSERVATION: First, to get back to the “basics”, to get my soul to honor God and my heart be one with Him… get on my knees to get back on my feet.
Second, to honor God by not meddling in the business of others by bad-mouthing. By bad-mouthing I speak against God’s Word.

APPLICATION:
Pray! Put a guard in front of my mouth.

PRAYER:
“Lord, I ask forgiveness for dishonoring You and Your people and Your destiny in their lives. Forgive me for my stupidness, my ignorance and disobedience. God I’m sorry for being selfish in favoring the gratification of my own needs. I’m sorry Lord that I hurt Your work and Your people. I ask Your forgiveness for all my sin. Bring me back to my knees Lord. Help me fall in love with You and Your ways forever and ever. May I live the way You desire and do what You desire. I need a heart transplant Lord. Take the rotten parts and seal it with Your love. Help me to get discipline. I need You more than ever!!!!!!! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
