READ: Ex. 25-27; Acts 6
Topic: who God really is
SCRIPTURE:
Ex 25:1-9 "The LORD said to Moses: Tell everyone in Israel who wants to give gifts that they must bring them to you. Here is a list of what you are to collect: Gold, silver, and bronze; blue, purple, and red wool; fine linen; goat hair; tanned ram skins; fine leather; acacia wood; olive oil for the lamp; sweet-smelling spices to mix with the oil for dedicating the tent and ordaining the priests; and onyx stones for the sacred vest and the breast piece. I also want them to build a special place where I can live among my people. Make it and its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.”
OBSERVATION:
Besides the reasoning behind every piece of furnishing, God intended for us to have a miraculous experience with Him. God was interested in every detail, it had to be just right for us! Today, instead of “running away”, running to Him is not a bad experience. Even though I had a bad experience with my father relationally, I WILL NOT have that with God. He is comforting! His presence smells sweet with fragrance; and that burns day and night for me!
APPLICATION:
These scriptures show me truly God’s heart! I will choose to change my mindset and replace it with the truth that spending time with God is great!
PRAYER:
“Lord, You are beautiful! I thank You that You know how to speak to me! I thank You that You care Lord! I reach out today and love and embrace You! I reject the lies in my mind and I take on the truth You showed me today! Thank You God that You set me apart to be with You! Thank You Lord that even though I’m not worthy, You love me! I’m am grateful do be Your daughter! I’m grateful to be Your friend! I’m grateful to be with You! Thank You that You are showing me who You are, really are! Lord show me more! In the precious Name of Jesus, Amen.”
