“Bearing fresh fruit each month, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom!”

READ: Neh 11,12; Ps 1; Acts 3

Topic: Living God’s Word

SCRIPTURE:
Ps 1:1-6 How well God must like you— you don't hang out at Sin Saloon, you don't slink along Dead-End Road, you don't go to Smart-Mouth College. Instead you thrill to God's Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. You're a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom. You're not at all like the wicked, who are mere windblown dust—Without defense in court, unfit company for innocent people. God charts the road you take. The road they take is Skid Row.

OBSERVATION:
Wow! This chapter is “something” worth living up to! It inspires me to get closer to God! Closer to the cross! Further from myself! Bearing FRESH fruit each month, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom… takes me meditating on God’s Word day and night. Chewing it… living it!

APPLICATION:
Chewing God’s Word! Reading it, meditating on it and living it!

PRAYER:
“Lord I thank You for this beautiful Word! Thank You for instead of showing me all my wrong doings You always come and inspire me. You always bring me something that lifts me up from the place I am. You are a loving, faithful God! I lift up my leaders today in prayer. I thank You for them! I pray Lord that You would fill them with Your grace and power. Help us to be all You want us to be! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
