READ: Gen. 37,38; Ps.7; Luke 15
Topic: life’s calling
SCRIPTURE:
Gen 37:2 “This is the story of Jacob. The story continues with Joseph, seventeen years old at the time, helping out his brothers in herding the flocks.”
OBSERVATION:
Joseph’s story began when he was seventeen. In those days you’ve “reached” your destination – found what you were going to be doing the rest of your life - his brothers tending sheep. But not Joseph, his story only begun at the age of seventeen.
God has different stories for different people. For so long I thought that my destination was lost – not reached at the time I’ve planned it for. But I’ve been wrong all along. My story has only begun. At an age of 31, I thought I’ve “lost” my destination, but God has only begun the plot.
APPLICATION:
Today I give God honor for He knows the plans He has for my life.
PRAYER:
“Lord forgive me for being so selfish. I’ve only look with natural eyes and You’ve been looking with spiritual Eyes. I give my life to You Lord; do with it as You fit. I honor You and thank You for all the grace You show towards me. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
