READ: 2 Ki 21; 2 Chr 33; Jn 4
Topic: Expecting the harvest!
SCRIPTURE:
Jn 4:23.24,36,39,42
It’s who you are in the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before Him in their worship. God is sheer being itself – Spirit. Those who worship Him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.
The Harvester isn’t waiting. He’s taking his pay, gathering in this grain that’s ripe for eternal life. (Well I’m telling you to open your eyes and take a good look at what’s right in front of you. These Samaritan fields are ripe. It’s harvest time!
Many of the Samaritans from that village committed themselves to Him because of the woman’s witness: “He knew all about the things I did. He knows me inside and out!”
OBSERVATION:
The first part is a reminder to me – and every time I read that scripture about worship I cannot help but to highlight it in my life.
Second part, the Harvest: It’s ready! A lot of times I guess when I lead worship I would think, “whatever we can get Lord”… and during our prayer as a team last Friday, God made it clear that He came for ALL. In his scripture God says that the harvest is ready! Spiritually, mentally and in doing so, claim it and TAKE IT! Don’t settle. The devil would love for us to be satisfied in the few. He came for ALL! And that’s what my ambition will be! Then finally, because of the woman’s testimony many gave their lives over to Him! I should never forget that because of my life, my testimony when I lead worship, God WILL use that to win them to HIM! It’s not a maybe, it’s a DEFINITE!
APPLICATION:
The violent shall take it by force! Expect and take it by force, spiritually and naturally!
PRAYER:
“Lord, give me Your faith to do Your will! Not to lay low, but to be in front on the battle field expecting the harvest! Open my eyes Lord to what You see. May You give me the wisdom to learn how to use the power and authority You’ve given me! I take it Lord! I won’t go to the grave full of untapped Holy Spirit power and authority, but USED to glorify Your Name and in that WIN others over to Christ. May You teach me Lord to use my authority that I have in You! May it not be that You died in vain! In the Name of Jesus Christ! Thank You Lord! Thank You! Amen!
