READ: Num. 34-36; Mark 11
Topic: embracing God-life & forgiveness
SCRIPTURE:
Mrk 11:2-25 Jesus was matter-of-fact: "Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, 'Go jump in the lake'—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it's as good as done. That's why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it's not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins."
OBSERVATION:
The “fig tree”, if it embraced God-life it would’ve been carrying fruit out of season. With God, nothing is impossible. In embracing this God-life, pray for absolutely everything. It’s not al asking, but also forgiving.
APPLICATION:
Be reminded to always pray and forgive!
PRAYER:
“Lord today I say thank You for all You’ve done and for Your patients and kindness. I pray that You would help me to embrace Your God-life, to forgive those around me and to love like You do. Thank You for dying on the cross for me. I ask Your forgiveness for my sins and those who has trespassed against me. Give today Your hand of blessing on our finances. May I bless You today! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
