“Search me and know me!”

READ: Ex. 6-8; Luke 23

Topic: areas in my life I’m a slave

SCRIPTURE:
Ex 6:6-9 “ ‘I am God. I will bring you out from under the cruel hard labor of Egypt. I will rescue you from slavery. I will redeem you, intervening with great acts of judgment. I'll take you as my own people and I'll be God to you. You'll know that I am God, your God who brings you out from under the cruel hard labor of Egypt. I'll bring you into the land that I promised to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and give it to you as your own country. I AM God.’ But when Moses delivered this message to the Israelites, they didn't even hear him—they were that beaten down in spirit by the harsh slave conditions.”

OBSERVATION:
The Israelites couldn’t hear or receive what God was speaking to them, because they were SO beaten down from the harsh slave conditions!

I can be slaved down in areas in my life (so use to it), that I can find myself deaf to God! When His Spirit speaks to me I might not hear Him or I cannot receive from Him. He wants to release me, fully giving me freedom and healing in ALL areas of my life!

APPLICATION:
To realize that I need God to search my heart and know me – just like David did – and soften my heart to areas in my life that needs His touch!

PRAYER:
“Lord, thank You for Your Word today! I pray Lord that You would awake my Spirit to You! Lord I want to stand on guard to Your Holy Spirit in all areas of my life. I pray Lord that You would search and know me Lord. Whatever displeases You Lord, I pray that You would awaken those areas in my life to Your Spirit and I pray that You would give me courage and strength to say ‘yes’ to Your healing! I love You Lord and I appreciate You VERY MUCH! In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.”
