“My strength, it’s You”

READ: Ps 121; Mk 9,10

Topic: believing the Truth

SCRIPTURE:
Ps 121:1,2 “I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.”
Mk 9:21-24 “He asked the boy's father, ‘How long has this been going on?’ ‘Ever since he was a little boy. Many times it pitches him into fire or the river to do away with him. If you can do anything, do it. Have a heart and help us!’
Jesus said, ‘If? There are no 'ifs' among believers. Anything can happen’. No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, ‘Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!’”

OBSERVATION:
I don’t place my strength in my own ability, no, I place it in God who gave me ability/gifts!

Heavens opened up as soon as the father cried to Jesus for Him to help him. What connection! What trust! What reliance!

I want to be a part of that moment with that father, crying out to Jesus to help me with my doubt. To abandon myself to Him. To throw myself in His arms and never look back. To look Him straight in His eyes. Just Him and me, nothing in between. “Breathe on me Lord! I want to see Your face! I want to know Your heart beat! I want to have Your passion beating in my heart! No longer selfish! How could I betray You and be so selfish to live for myself? You gave Your all for me on the cross, now let me live my life honoring You!”

APPLICATION:
Spend more time with my Maker, falling in love with Him!

PRAYER:
“Lord, You are an undeniable God! One to be recon with. Who is there like You Lord. Who knows my heart more than You. Who understand me like You Lord. You formed me, made me, created me to live for You. Come and shape my heart and desires to live for You FULLY Lord! I want to live for You FULLY! That’s the cry of my heart just like the father, ‘then I believe, help me with my doubts’. Even towards our relationship Lord. I believe the enemy would love to see us broken; and I pray Lord that You would help me discern what’s truly from You Lord. I love You Lord, ALWAYS, my God! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
