“Without Him I have nothing to offer!”

READ: Dan 1,2; Rev 16

Topic: Not my strength

SCRIPTURE:
Dan 1:17 “God gave these four young men knowledge and skill in both books and life.”
Dan 2:47 “Your God is beyond question the God of all gods, the Master of all kings. And He solves all mysteries, I know, because you’ve solved this mystery.”

OBSERVATION:
God gave Daniel and his friends knowledge and skill – and when the time came, they acknowledged God before interpreting a dream. “No mere human can solve the king’s mystery, I don’t care who it is – no wise man, enchanter, magician, diviner. But there is a God in heaven who solves mysteries, and He has solved this one. (Dan 2:27)”

Daniel went to God and asked Him for mercy in solving this mystery. I cannot do things in my own strength. I don’t have the strength to offer. Relying on God’s knowledge, skill and strength, that’s what Daniel did and that’s why I need to do!

APPLICATION:
Make time for God – He is my strength. Without HIM I have NOTHING to offer!

PRAYER:
“Lord, forgive me for doing Your work in my own strength. Help me to rely MORE on You! I pray as You came through for Daniel, that Lord in order to bring You glory; You would come through for me and my family and friends I serve with. Thank You God for Your amazing mercy – each day I learn more and more about Your mercy Lord – all the facets of it. God, what You’ve done on the cross through Your Son Jesus Christ, is the most amazing blessing and act of God’s love I could ever experience. I just thank You and stand in awe. Each day You open my eyes more and more to Your cross; and for that, I thank You! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
