READ: Is 43-45; 1 Pet 4
Topic: Being alert to a brand new day
SCRIPTURE:
Is 43:17-19 “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’ you see it? There it is? I’m making a road through the desert, river in the badlands.”
OBSERVATION:
Why do I knock myself even before I’ve started. I should recognize this as a trick from the enemy. If he keeps my eyes on the past, he gets my attention away from the present. I miss the miracles that are present in His midst. This applies to song writing for me in my life. I keep on staring at my failures and fears, but God is saying “it’s a new day”. He makes a way there seems to be no way. With God there is always a way, but be present to what He is doing!
APPLICATION:
Not to be too alarmed when a different season approaches, but being diligent is seeking God and trusting Him!
PRAYER:
“Lord, thank You for Your amazing word right through these passages (Isaiah 43-45 & 1 Peter 4). Father, I don’t want to miss out on what You are doing right now. Lord keep me alert to what You are doing right now in the present. I pray that Lord You would keep my heart beating for You and my eyes focused on You. Lord, thank You for Your amazing promises being fulfilled through us. Thank You for the gift and privilege of being a part of Your amazing plan! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
