READ: Mt 28; 1 Th 1-3
Topic: being in God’s presence
SCRIPTURE:
1 Th 1:7-10 “Do you know that all over the provinces of both Macedonia and Achaia believers look up to you? The word has gotten around. Your lives are echoing the Master's Word, not only in the provinces but all over the place. The news of your faith in God is out. We don't even have to say anything anymore—you're the message! People come up and tell us how you received us with open arms, how you deserted the dead idols of your old life so you could embrace and serve God, the true God. They marvel at how expectantly you await the arrival of his Son, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescued us from certain doom.”
1 Th 3:11-13 “May God our Father himself and our Master Jesus clear the road to you! And may the Master pour on the love so it fills your lives and splashes over on everyone around you, just as it does from us to you. May you be infused with strength and purity, filled with confidence in the presence of God our Father when our Master Jesus arrives with all his followers.”
OBSERVATION:
We are the Message when we love God first and then love all others around us! We become the Message to the world and those who still have to come to recognize God as their Savior!
I want to receive the prayer in vs. 11-13, that God would clear the road to me. That He will fill my life and let it splash over to all around me. May I be infused with strength and purity, filled with confidence in the presence of God!
APPLICATION:
As I spend time with God, walk in His love, being confident in His presence! The only way to be confident in His presence is to know His presence!
PRAYER:
“Lord, I thank You for drawing me! I thank You that You have patients with me and that You are clearing the road to me! I thank You for the scriptures and I thank You Holy Spirit for making it alive in my heart! I thank You that You are changing me to be more like You so that I can be the Message. I desire to please You Lord in all I do. I ask forgiveness for my sin and I pray that You would cover me with Your grace especially around those You are trying to reach! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
