“Embracing all of You”

READ: Job 23,24; Mk 11,12

Topic: God-life

SCRIPTURE:
Mk 11:20-25 “In the morning, walking along the road, they saw the fig tree, shriveled to a dry stick. Peter, remembering what had happened the previous day, said to him, ‘Rabbi, look—the fig tree you cursed is shriveled up!’ Jesus was matter-of-fact: ‘Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, 'Go jump in the lake'—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it's as good as done. That's why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it's not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins’.”

OBSERVATION:
In everything pray; and when I’m done pray some more. Seeking God-life and I’ll find God’s everything. Oh how I long for that! How I long to abandon myself and embrace life like He wants me to. How I desire to shut of the flesh and carry through God’s best for His glory’s sake. I want to please Him!
I need to really embrace the God-life, and nothing will be too much – not even my fleshly desires!

APPLICATION:
Embrace!

PRAYER:
“God, I thank You for this season. I thank You that You have Your arms around me. I pray Your forgiveness for my sins. I pray Lord that You would forgive me and make me clean. I pray that I’ll put a smile on Your face… that’s all I really want to do is make You happy Lord – really representing you, but most of all LOVING YOU with all that I am! I’m sorry Lord when I grieve You Holy Spirit. Forgive me – and I pray that You would help me. Help me! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
