SCRIPTURE
Job 35:8 The evil or good you do only affects other humans.
OBSERVATION
Most of the times my first thought is not how my actions affect others but rather, how does my actions affect my walk with Christ. There is nothing wrong with that 'cause I was firstly made for God, but I was also made for others and my decisions and actions affect them. My focus and motive should be contrary to what the world states I should do. The world says that I should focus on my gain! Christ has died so I'll be set free. To live and walk in that freedom is to live with others in mind - to be a servant of all! To live for myself would only put me back at square one, bound!
APPLICATION
Don't be imprisoned my the world's motives and suggestions, but live the life of freedom Jesus has dearly paid His life for.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father! Thank You for setting me free. I want to live Your way God! I want to please firstly You in my actions and deeds and then secondly influence others to make them great and to show them Your love being in my company. God may I be the least and may You be glorified through my choices and actions. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Being Alert & Ready
SCRIPTURE
Luke 14:38 "Stay alert, be in prayer, so you don't enter the danger zone without even knowing it. Don't be naive. Part of you is eager, ready for anything in God; but another part is as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire."
OBSERVATION
"Another part is as lazy as an old dog". How true is this! It's a warning and also a conviction. Can't be sleeping when danger is trying to trip me up. Be aware, be prayerful!
APPLICATION
Praying against the flesh of laziness.
PRAYER
"Lord, I'm so thankful for Your Word. Thank You Holy Spirit that You delight in me and open up Your Words to me. God, I pray today that You'll help me to move closer to being prayerful and obedient. Pray God You'll give me the courage to say yes and follow through. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Bigger Than Little
SCRIPTURE
Mark 4:8 "Some fell on good earth and came up with a flourish, producing a harvest exceeding his wildest dreams."
Mark 4:20 "But the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace it, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams."
Mark 4:30-32 "How can we picture God's kingdom? It's like a pine nut. When it lands on the ground it is quite small as seeds go, yet once it is planted it grows into a huge pine tree with thick branches. Eagles nest in it."
OBSERVATION
The words that stood out to me was "wildest dreams". What could be my wildest dreams? And then I read Mark 4:30-32. When a pine nut tree seed is planted, it's tiny, but then when it's planted into the soil, it grows into a huge tree where eagles nest in it! What God does with us when I give my life to Him, is mere a miracle! He takes little, stretches me and makes my nothing grow into not just a little plant BUT a pine nut tree. And then to put the cherry on the top, eagles (big, strong, enormous birds) come make their nest. It could've been little birds, but what God is showing me is that eagles need strong trees to build their huge nest's in; and what God does through me creates a sanctuary for eagles. I also see that what came out of me, pine nut seed, is ALL God. And that's why the more God deserves the glory. He is the root system, the branches. I could NEVER be all that I could be on my own. My potential is found when I rest in Him, get rooted in Him, keep my eyes on Him. What happens on the top of the surface, is His doing. I keep my eyes on the prize! I keep my eyes on surrender! When I feel that I'm about to break I need to remind myself I wasn't purposed to break, I was purposed to grow into a pine nut tree!
APPLICATION
When I come to the end of myself is where God can do miracles! Trusting in God, staying in the Word!
PRAYER
"Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that I'm purposed to be a part of a Pine Nut Tree. Thank You God that I can be a part of a much bigger plan. Thank You Lord that You totally have everything in the palm of Your hand. Thank You that I can surrender and see Your glory unfold. Please remind me of this when it feels like things are falling apart. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

You define me!
SCRIPTURE
Nehemiah 13:2 "It was found written there that no Ammonite or Moabite was permitted to enter the congregation of God, because they hadn't welcomed the People of Israel with food and drink; they even hired Balaam to work against them by cursing them, but our God turned the curse into a blessing."
OBSERVATION
God takes nothing and makes something of it. He takes curses and makes it into blessing. Whatever in life has cursed us, there's nothing to difficult for God. When I let go and offer Him everything, He fills my emptiness with Himself. What a God!!!! There is nothing like Him!!!!
APPLICATION
Give all to God and let Him fill me! Don't let life's curses define who I am!
PRAYER
Lord thank You for Your Word! Where would I be without You!!! God I give You my everything! Come, let You define me! I thank You for Your love and Your presence that NEVER leaves me! I aim to please You Lord! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Story Continues
SCRIPTURE
Acts 1:7-8 "Is this the time? He told them, 'You don't get to know the time. Timing is the Father's business. What you'll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.'"
OBSERVATION
The story of Jesus doesn't end with Jesus. It continues in the lives of those who believe in Him - me! The supernatural does not stop with Jesus. Luke makes it clear that these Christians he wrote about were no more spectators of Jesus than Jesus was a spectator of God - they are IN on the action of God, GOD ACTING IN THEM, God living in them, which means God living in me.
When I "add" the message of yesterday to this, God's saying that "simply believing, He will act in me and live through me". He has more to say and more to do. God is living, and He's living in me.
APPLICATION
Stay the course of being connected to Him. In my devotionals and in my everyday speaking to Him - being aware!
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word! Lord thank You for Your grace and Your provision and blessing. God I thank You for Your Holy Spirit speaking to me every day. God I invite You in my life, make Your home in every part of me. I rebuke the spirit of fear keeping me down; and today I step into the destiny You've called me to. I want to be Your hands and Your feet. Make me a part of Your big plan. I believe and I embrace all of You! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Simply Believe
SCRIPTURE
Luke 24:25 "Why can't you simple believe..."
OBSERVATION
I feel a lot of times I can analyze some things too much and all Jesus is saying in this scripture is to simply believe.
I've come across recently a lot of people who's experienced healing in amazing ways. I thought to myself, wow, what is the secret? My dad has had problems with circulation in his feet for years because of diabetes. He has trusted God, but no results.
Simply believe - that's all we have!
APPLICATION
Believe!
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for Your Word today. I believe in Your resurrection power and that You paid a high price for me to simply believe. Thank You God that YOU came to set me free, that only YOU can bring the victory. I thank You Lord that I can put ALL my trust in You. Help me to simply believe! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Correcting, Corrected
SCRIPTURE
Luke 17:3-4 "Be alert (So be careful what you do CEV; Pay attention and always be on your guard [looking out for one another] AMP). If you see your friend going wrong, correct him. If he responds, forgive him. Even if it's personal against you and repeated seven times through the day, and seven times he says, 'I'm sorry, I won't do it again,' forgive him"
OBSERVATION
It's not always easy to "correct" someone. As a leader God expects me to be corrected by others and looking out for others by correcting them. It's helping them and I in turn would like others to help me.
APPLICATION
Step out boldly and help others.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word today. God this is an area I struggle with. It's hard for me to correct others. I want it to be in the most natural way it can be and not awkward. I realize that it won't always be received it the easiest way, but I pray God that You would be teach me how to be the way You are with us. I pray God You would help me to lead well and be lead well. Forgive me for offending You Lord. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
